Privacy Policy
Summary
- Every visit leaves technical data, including your IP address, in the web server’s logs (see “Visiting this website”). Beyond that, we collect personal data only when you send us a request through the contact form or write to us directly.
- A request sent through the contact form, including any attached file, is delivered to our mailbox as an e-mail and kept there; the web server does not store it.
- This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics and no advertising, and its pages load no content or scripts from other providers; its fonts are served from our own server.
- The website and our mailbox are hosted by STRATO in Germany.
Who is responsible
The controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this website is:
ENTR AG
Baarerstrasse 82
6302 Zug, Switzerland
E-mail: info@entr-ag.ch
Phone: +49 175 543 66 12
For questions about data protection and to exercise your rights, please write to info@entr-ag.ch.
Scope and applicable law
This policy covers the website entr.group and the requests sent through it. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP); the website is operated from Switzerland.
Visiting this website
When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to the web server of our hosting provider, STRATO. The server records them in log files:
- your IP address
- the date and time of the request
- the page or file requested, the result and the amount of data transferred
- the address of the page you came from (referrer)
- your browser and operating system (user agent)
We need these data to deliver the website and to keep it secure. According to STRATO, IP addresses are kept for no more than 7 days. Error messages of the contact form program are written to the same server logs.
Cookies and browser storage
This website sets no cookies. The notice at the bottom of the page names two categories of cookies, technical and analytics, that the website is prepared to use. At present neither is set: the contact form works without cookies, and no analytics service is loaded.
When you answer the notice, your browser keeps your choice, and when you made it, in its local storage (key “entr-consent”). This entry stays on your device and is not sent to us. As the website uses no optional services, the choice currently switches nothing on or off. The notice asks again after 12 months.
You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page, and remove the entry by deleting the stored data for this website in your browser.
Contact form
If you send us a request through the contact form, we process the data you enter:
- name, organization, e-mail address and project description (required)
- phone number and country (optional)
- an attached file (optional; PDF, DWG, XLS or XLSX, up to 10 MB)
The form cannot be sent without the required fields. If you prefer not to use the form, you can write to us at info@entr-ag.ch.
We also receive the language of the page, the time you took to fill in the form and your confirmation of the consent statement. A hidden field and a minimum time for filling in the form help us recognize automated submissions; submissions that look automated are discarded without being delivered, although a confirmation still appears on screen.
Your request is delivered as an e-mail. The server assembles a message with the data you entered, your consent confirmation, the attached file, the language of the page, the time of receipt and a randomly generated request code (shown to you as the request number). It sends this message over an encrypted connection through STRATO’s mail server to our mailbox info@entr-ag.ch, with your e-mail address as the reply address. From then on, the only copy we hold is the e-mail in our mailbox (or, if it cannot be delivered there, in the technical mailbox mentioned under “Recipients and processors”). The web server keeps neither the content of the form nor the file. The attachment is held in a temporary directory only while your submission is being processed, is read into the message from there and is deleted automatically when the processing ends, normally within seconds.
To protect the form against abuse, the server keeps two kinds of technical data. Neither contains the content of your request, your e-mail address or your IP address. The first is a request counter per sender. It is stored under a pseudonymized key computed from your IP address and a secret value known only to the server, so the stored counter does not reveal your IP address. The counter is overwritten with each further submission. Once it has been unused for 24 hours, it is deleted by a cleanup that runs from time to time when the form processes later submissions; with few requests a counter can therefore remain considerably longer, but it holds only a number and a time stamp under a key that cannot be traced back to you. The second is a technical log with one line for each submission that was sent, discarded as spam, rate-limited, blocked or failed in delivery. Each line records the time and the outcome, for a delivery failure the error message of the mail component, and for a sent request its request code, the language, whether a file was attached and whether JavaScript was used.
We use these data only to answer your request and, if it leads to a project, to prepare and carry out that project.
The form can only be sent after you confirm that you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with this policy. We handle your request on the basis of that consent. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future by writing to info@entr-ag.ch; we then stop handling your request and delete it, unless statutory retention obligations require us to keep it.
Contacting us by e-mail or phone
If you write to us or call us, we process the data you give us, such as your name, your contact details and the content of your message, to answer you.
Purposes and legal basis
We process personal data to operate and secure this website, to answer requests and to prepare offers and projects.
Under the FADP we may process personal data without a specific legal basis, provided we respect the principles of the Act: we process your data lawfully, in good faith and proportionately, and only for the purposes stated here. When you use the contact form we nevertheless ask for your consent, and we handle your request on that basis. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future; we then stop handling your request and delete it, unless statutory retention obligations require us to keep it.
Recipients and processors
Within ENTR AG, only the staff who handle your request can access your data; our hosting provider processes them on our behalf (see below). We do not sell your data or share them for advertising.
We use the following service provider, which processes data on our behalf:
- STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany: hosting of this website, of the contact form and of our e-mail
Requests are not forwarded to partners, suppliers or any other third party. Our mailbox is read only by the staff of ENTR AG who handle requests. If a request e-mail cannot be delivered to info@entr-ag.ch, it is returned, together with its attachment, to a technical mailbox at the same provider; that mailbox is read only by the same staff.
Disclosure abroad
Our hosting provider stores and processes the data in Germany. This is a disclosure abroad within the meaning of the FADP; the Federal Council recognizes Germany as a country with an adequate level of data protection (Annex 1 of the Data Protection Ordinance). We do not disclose your data to any other country.
How long we keep data
- requests received by e-mail, including attached files, and the related correspondence in our mailbox: for as long as we need them to handle your request and, if a project results, for the duration of the project. We delete them no later than 24 months after our last contact, unless statutory retention obligations for business records require us to keep them longer.
- log files of the web server at STRATO: IP addresses for no more than 7 days, according to STRATO
- the technical log of the contact form: no longer than 12 months
- the request counters that protect the form: until they have been unused for 24 hours. They are then deleted by a cleanup that runs from time to time when later submissions are processed, so with few requests a counter can remain considerably longer. A counter never contains your IP address or your request.
- the choice stored in your browser: until you delete it; the notice asks again after 12 months
Security
This website is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Requests from the contact form reach our mailbox over an encrypted connection; the web server keeps no copy of them, and the server directories that hold the technical data described above are not publicly accessible.
Your rights
Within the limits of the applicable law, you have the right to:
- request information about the personal data we hold about you
- have incorrect data corrected
- have your data deleted
- object to the processing or have it restricted
- receive the data you have provided in a common electronic format
- withdraw a consent you have given, with effect for the future
To exercise these rights, please write to info@entr-ag.ch. We may ask you to prove your identity.
Complaints
You can report a suspected breach of data protection law to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, Switzerland.
Automated decisions
We make no automated individual decisions within the meaning of Art. 21 FADP. The spam protection of the contact form discards, without human review, submissions that look automated; a confirmation still appears on screen in that case. If you do not hear from us after sending a request, please write to info@entr-ag.ch.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website or the law changes. The current version is always available on this page; the date at the top shows when it was last updated.
